Sex has a vocabulary
Urban Dictionary of Sex describes “sexpectation” as the optimistic wait for a social encounter to lead to sex. The example ends with a useful qualification:
Just because you sexpect something doesn't mean you're getting it.
The book has words for desire and awkward moments, including what happens when a conversation about work suddenly turns into “what are you wearing?” The book calls that “boxey.” You'll also find “enthusiastic consent,” described with “hell yes, let's bang.”
